Who may participate in process?
To use workflows, a user should have the appropriate permissions. To grant permissions on a SharePoint site, select the gearwheel icon, then Site permissions. A window will appear as below.
After selecting Advanced permissions settings, the following window will open.
In this window, we can see SharePoint groups.
We will find a preview of all permissions levels after opening the option, Permissions Level, marked with a red box in the above screen.
The user with the Full Control group has the highest range of rights. He is the admin. Admin has full control over workflows. He can create new workflows, modify existing ones and delete workflows. Admin also has the ability to run workflows. In addition, Admin can manage the permissions of other users.
A user with the Edit permission can launch workflows and actions. However, he cannot create workflows, modify them or delete them. He also cannot manage other users' permissions.
The Read user has the least amount of permissions.
